In April 1996, Esmeralda organized a tag sale which netted $9,000 and in May of 1997, the first SIDS Walkathon in Westchester County which brought in $15,000. In March of 1998, the inaugural Windflower Ball saw proceeds of $30,000 and in 1999 the second Annual Ball raised $50,000. In 2000, the target for the "WB" reached $200,000 and support continues to grow rapidly.
The Considering Alexander SIDS Foundation has quickly become an essential and influential part of the international SIDS community, providing resources for important research, education and support purposes, such as the following:

November: sponsor of the first annual Northeast Regional Convention on SIDS and Unexpected Death from Birth to Three
April: major sponsor of the SIDS Alliance National Conference for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Chicago. Considering Alexander offered a limited number of scholarships for junior scientists and investigators to attend
2000 November: jointly sponsored the National Institute of Health meeting entitled Pathogenesis in the Millennium. The goal is to develop a broad agenda for SIDS research over the next five years that includes such areas as pathogenesis, epidemiology, racial disparity, and multicenter clinical studies with screening tools June: sponsored the analysis of data for the CHIME (Collaborative Home Infant Monitoring Evaluation) multicenter clinical study, which evaluated home infant cardiorespiratory monitoring April: major sponsor of the National SIDS Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, together with the SIDS Alliance January: together with the Institute of Child Health and Development, major sponsor of a world wide symposium in Hawaii
1999 December: sponsor of the first SIDS Memorial Day for the Lower Hudson Valley September: sponsor of the New York State SIDS Conference June: sponsor of a researcher to attend the European SIDS Conference in Jerusalem, Israel May: grant awarded to Dr. Maria Skolnikova of the Moscow Institute of Pediatrics to further their analysis of Cardiac Arrhythmia in children
